Why have I been advised to have a Pelvic Ultrasound scan?
Our doctor would advise a Pelvic Ultrasound Scan when your Hertility test results and medical history together suggest something worth looking at more closely. Your hormone results tell us a great deal, but a scan lets a specialist see the structure of your ovaries and uterus directly, which is detail a blood test alone can't provide. It's used to confirm, rule out or better understand what your results are pointing to. Being advised a scan is a routine, informative next step rather than a cause for concern, it simply means any further guidance can be based on a complete picture of your reproductive health.
