One in 4 have people have had a sexually transmitted infection (STI) at some point. It’s recommended to check, especially if you have been with someone new. Some STI’s can affect your fertility but they don’t always show symptoms. If you’re unsure, then it’s better to check.

Prenatal Test

Knowing about the health of your baby during pregnancy allows you time to prepare—physically, financially, and emotionally to care for a child with extra needs. Screening for chromosomal disorders using noninvasive cell-free DNA technology is a noninvasive test that requires a blood sample, so it’s safe for mother and baby. We will send a trained phlebotomist to your house, so you don’t have to worry about exposing yourself to COVID.

Hertility Hormone Test

Testing your hormones can help us to understand your egg count, ovulation, general hormone health, and – crucially – signpost any red flags that relate to fertility. With the answers to your Care Questionnaire, in combination with your hormone test results and access to our Hertility experts, we can provide you with the information you need about your reproductive health. We test you according to your current cycle or symptoms relative toand the stage you’re at in your fertility journey. If needed, we can direct you to one of our vetted and accredited clinics, equipped with specialists who will cater to your health needs.

Gene Screen

Carrier screening is genetic testing that can be done before or during pregnancy to check if you are a carrier of a genetic disorder that could be passed on to your child. For some genetic disorders, it takes two genes for a person to have the disorder. A carrier is a person who has only one gene for a disorder. Carriers usually do not have symptoms or have only mild symptoms. They often do not know that they have a gene for a disorder. Up to 1 in 3 people carry a genetic disease gene. If you are an expectant parent or thinking about starting a family, our preconception carrier test looks inside your genes to see if you carry a disease that you could pass onto your child. Knowing your carrier status is an important step for parenthood.

Miscarriage Analysis

Unfortunately, 25% of all clinical pregnancies miscarry. More than 50% of miscarriages in the first trimester are caused by chromosomal abnormalities. The main sign of a miscarriage is vaginal bleeding, which may be followed by cramping and pain in your lower abdomen. If you have vaginal bleeding, contact a GP or your midwife first. If you have suffered a miscarriage or have experienced recurring spontaneous abortions and would like to have information about the genetics of the fetus, we can send you a testing kit which allows you to preserve the material so we can test it and give you an insight into your loss to see whether the miscarriage was down to chance, or if there is a more serious underlying genetic condition affecting your ability to have children.

Prenatal Test

Noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) is a method of determining the risk that the fetus will be born with certain genetic abnormalities. NIPT is most often used to look for chromosomal disorders that are caused by the presence of an extra or missing copy (aneuploidy) of a chromosome. NIPT primarily looks for Down syndrome (trisomy 21, caused by an extra chromosome 21), trisomy 18 (caused by an extra chromosome 18), trisomy 13 (caused by an extra chromosome 13), and extra or missing copies of the X chromosome and Y chromosome (the sex chromosomes).

*For genetic testing, once you complete our online ordering process, our clinician will review your health history and approve the test, if appropriate.
