Real stories, real impact
At Hertility, we believe in talking openly about our bodies, because you never know whose life your story might change. Discover stories that resonate with your own, others you can learn from, or some that offer hope. Above all, know that you’re not alone.
Meet Dearbhla 👋
Dearbhla discovered at 24 years old that she had low AMH levels and suspected perimenopause. After one disappointing round of egg freezing at 26 (she collected 3 eggs instead of the recommended 15 required to have a baby), Dearbhla decided to forgo the expense and toll on her body of another round of egg freezing and instead track her egg levels with Hertility to understand what to do next.
Meet Sydney 👋
Sydney always suffered with symptoms like acne and thinning hair. The pill improved her symptoms but she knew it was just masking the problem. Thinking of future babies prompted her to come off the pill to see what was going on. Her Hertility Test showed high AMH, Testosterone and Prolactin and a PCOS diagnosis. Empowered with this knowledge, she could finally plan her next steps.
Meet Elaine 👋
When starting her TTC journey at age 40, Elaine had no idea whether she had any eggs left. With the NHS saying she had to try for a year before they’d offer support, she didn’t want to lose precious time. After taking a Hertility Test and speaking to a Fertility Advisor, she learned her AMH and egg reserve were good for her age which gave her the confidence to try to conceive and fell pregnant the next month!
Meet Phoebe 👋
Despite multiple doctor appointments, Phoebe never had clarity about what was going on. Tired of comments like ‘you’ve probably got PCOS’ or ‘just try this medication’, she took a Hertility Test in search of answers. 10 days later, her Hertility Test results confirmed high Testosterone and AMH levels indicative of a PCOS diagnosis. She urges anyone else who suspects something isn’t right to get answers with Hertility.
Meet Frankie 👋
Frankie had known she’d wanted children since she was little but had never had any idea about her fertility and whether she was even able to have babies. Having seen a Hertility advert, she jumped at the chance of finding out once and for all. With the peace of mind that everything was ok, she started her journey to conceive and fast forward to February 2024, she’s pregnant with her first baby.
Meet Alex 👋
After multiple doctor appointments, Alex got a PCOS diagnosis but she still had no idea what it meant or what she should do next. Turning to Hertility for support, her results showed low free Thyroxine suggesting hypothyroidism and making sense of recent symptoms like fatigue, weight gain and thinning hair. Armed with the knowledge, she’s making lifestyle changes to tackle the root issue.
Meet Sravya 👋
For Sravya, PCOS makes you think about the big questions in life like ‘Do I even want a baby, knowing that it might not be an easy journey for me?’ So, having a resource like Hertility means that she can keep checking in with her health and whenever she’s ready, she can get a Hertility Test and see where she’s at.
Meet Bex 👋
Bex is 26 and has always suffered from painful and heavy periods. Doctors have always tried to put her on the pill rather than investigate the source of her symptoms. With her sister suffering from endometriosis, Bex assumed she had the same but her Hertility Test results surprised her, suggesting a potential PCOS diagnosis and making sense of symptoms she’d previously dismissed as family traits like excess hair on her arms.
Meet Lizzie 👋
In the midst of a journey of infertility and pregnancy loss, Lizzie found she had so many unanswered questions. Standardised tests never came back with detailed answers or broke down what the levels meant. Turning to Hertility for answers, her results were broken down for her, giving her peace of mind that everything was ok and they still had every chance of conceiving.
Meet Caroline 👋
After months of trying and being diagnosed with unexplained infertility, doctors told Caroline to come back after trying for a few more years. Dissatisfied with the lack of information, she turned to Hertility for a more proactive way of figuring out what was going on. Armed with this knowledge, she decided to go to a fertility clinic for IVF and is now the mother of a baby boy!
Meet Dani 👋
Dani is a Fertility Nurse who when checking in on her hormones at age 29, found out she had a lower than average AMH and therefore low egg reserve. Even with her expertise, the decision to freeze her eggs was daunting but one she knew she had to make. Despite the financial and physical cost, after the process was finished it was like a weight was lifted from her shoulders.
Meet Ali 👋
After having her first 2 babies by IVF, Ali was convinced that she couldn’t have a baby naturally. But since starting to work at Hertility and getting monthly at-home tests, her results were telling her that there was no reason why she couldn’t conceive which gave her the confidence to try again. Spoiler: Ali and her husband went on to conceive naturally and are now a family of five!
Meet Jack 👋
Some people get pregnant immediately, but for others, it’s not so straightforward. After a year and a half of trying to conceive including one miscarriage, Jack and his wife finally fell pregnant with their daughter Tallulah. Despite the emotional toll on them both, the taboo of fertility struggles made it hard to open up to friends and family about what they were going through.
Meet Nic 👋
Nic suffered from heavy periods but doctors only advised contraception. It wasn’t until age 45 that she was officially diagnosed with adenomyosis. Fatigue and brain fog were also making Nic suspect perimenopause with doctors suggesting HRT. But through Hertility, she discovered an iron and b12 deficiency to be the cause and spoke to a Fertility Advisor about what to do next.
